Dance

Students learn about the history, theory and practical applications of dance in a Christian context. Dancers analyze choreography in their pursuit of truth and exceptional performance in a manner that reflects Christian values.

Students choreograph a routine to present in a main stage show. Professionals from the National Dance Association, the Julliard School and regional colleges and universities visit the classroom as guest lecturers and adjudicators. The Dance Arts Department hosts an annual Christian Dance Arts Festival, drawing participants from local schools and dance studios. This festival provides Christian dance artists with an avenue to improve technique, study dance choreography and learn about dance as worship.
