PTPF Objectives
and Policies
ELEMENTARY OBJECTIVES:
1) To promote the
spiritual and educational welfare of the students in the home,
school, church and community.
2) To provide mutual
support, communication, prayer and fellowship between the home
and school so that teachers and parents may cooperate intelligently
in the Christian training of their children.
POLICIES:
1) This association
shall not seek to direct the administrative activities of the
school, or to control its policies.
2) This association
shall be noncommercial, interdenominational and nonpartisan, No
commercial enterprise and no candidate shall be endorsed by it.
Neither the name of the organization nor the names of its officers
in their official capacities shall be used in any connection with
a commercial concern, or with any partisan interest, or for any
purpose other than the regular work of the organization.
3) It is the responsibility
of the PTPF executive board to communicate regularly with members
about programs and activities of the fellowship. Communications
such as letters, newsletters and promotional pieces must have
the approval of the principal.
4) All monies raised
during the school year shall be expended for projects in the year
raised. All unencumbered monies greater than $1,000.00* shall
revert to the general fund of Valley Christian Schools on July
1st of the new fiscal year. *(adopted 9/96)
MEMBERSHIP
Each elementary, junior high or high
school operated by Valley Christian Schools shall have a Parent
Teacher Prayer Fellowship organization. All parents having children
in the school, and all teachers on the staff of the school shall
be considered members of the fellowship.
