Elementary School

The Valley Christian Schools’ faculty, staff, parents and students are blessed with a new elementary campus located at 1450 Leigh Avenue in San Jose. Each classroom is equipped with the latest technology; 6 notebook and 5 desktop PCs, a high resolution scanner, svga projector and a high capacity business-grade inkjet printer which is networked to all of the classroom PCs.

In addition to the hardware, each computer has at least 7 age-appropriate educational software titles to challenge the kids, and provide the teachers with alternative teaching tools.

The VCES faculty are also blessed with a very active, bright and enthusiastic group of parents who are working diligently with VCES' administration and teachers to develop programs such as Achieve the Dream, whose goal it is to support educational initiatives such as project-based learning, standards-based instruction and technology integration.

The mission of Achieve the Dream is, "To support the educational initiatives of Valley Christian Elementary School by building strong home and school bonds through identifying, acquiring and utilizing quality resources that enhance the academic program and benefit student learning."

Opportunities for you to participate include: classroom/technology support, resource procurement, media center resource/friends of the library, hospitality, speakers bureau, publications/promotions, and fundraising.
