Valley Christian High School does not board students. Each student must be sponsored by a family in the South Bay Area, who will be responsible for all out-of-school supervision, school business, communication, and housing.

At least one of the adults in this family must be 25 years or older and be granted Guardian status over the student throughout the school year. It is required that the sponsoring family be interviewed before the decision to accept a student will be granted.

VCS discourages students from changing guardians/host families during the school year; students who change guardians/host families, without permission of the International Students staff, may be asked to leave the school immediately.

Parents must privately arrange for the placement of their student with a Guardian. For high school-age students, Valley Christian Schools may occasionally forward a few names of school families who may be arranged with for homestays.

Although Valley Christian Schools seeks to offer a list of quality homes for placement, the school does not guarantee a successful placement.

If an international student is not adjusting well to their host family or to Valley Christian Schools, the student may be required to return to their country of origin.

For more information about international student homestays, contact Mrs. Mary Abrahamson, Valley Christian International Admissions & Records, international.admissions@vcs.net, 408.513.2507
