CLASS NOTES

1972
Dave Blanchard and Judy (St Ores '72) live in Portland, Oregon and have married.

1974
Pam (Enslow) McSweeney and her husband have moved from Pennsylvania to Cheyenne, Wyoming. They are greatly enjoying their new home and church.
Pam (Reynolds) Peed and her family live in Ripon, CA where Pam works for Family Christian Stores in anteca, CA. Her son, Kevin, attends Modesto JC while daughter, Karen, is a freshman at Fresno Pacific University.

1975
Barbara (Klompien) Cole and her husband are prosperous potato farmers in Manhattan, Montana.

1977
Martin Oren was in an auto accident in 2005 and was in a coma for nearly a year. He is continually improving and lives in Sunnyvale, CA.

1979
Kevin Hagen is back in Iraq on his 3rd combat tour since 9/11. Master Sergeant Hagen has served in Afghanistan and Iraq and leads his Detachment of the Colorado National Guard. He and his wife have 3 lovely daughters and make their home in Parker, CO.

1982
Steve March is the Marketing Manager for DLT&V Systems Engineering in Phoenix, AZ. He and his family live in Gilbert, AZ.

1983
Steve Howell and Mandy (Gillespie ‘83) Howell live in Boise, Idaho with their 2 children.
Jan Gillespie, former teacher at Valley, also lives in Boise.

1985
Greg Varvell and Tammy (Bulson '86) Varvell make their home in Tracy, CA.
Cameo Wallace lives in Arlington, VA when she is not living in LA. She also works in D.C.

1987
Brian Bolyard and Nancy (Lee '89) Bolyard live in Folsom, CA where Nancy teaches 2nd grade while Brian works for Intel. They have 2 children.
Ted Pickerrell and his wife Cynthia (Arbuckle '88ng) live in Folsom, CA where he works for HP.

1988
Dee (Dawson) Hilty is looking forward to her 20-year reunion. She lives in Frisco, TX.

1989
Rachele (Ralstin) Feller has been married to her husband, Seth, for 9 years. She is a stay-at-home Mom. They have 2 children.
Jeannine Dennis received her Doctorate of Music and owns Dennis Music and Productions in Modesto, CA. She is a private teacher and professional musician.
Marcy (Phillips) Yarbrough and her husband, Chad, had their second son, Cody, on November 7, 2007.
Jeff Thomas attended Cal State Fullerton and received his degree in 1994. He joined the US Army in 1994 and graduated from University of Missouri in St Louis in 2002. He graduated from Royal Military College of Science in London, England in 2005. Jeff is a Major in the US Army as an Engineer Officer.

1990
Shannon (Silva) Severson is married and expecting her 3rd child in late November. They live in Redondo Beach, CA.
Lisa (Loupe) Underwood and her husband are now pastoring in Kent Washington.

1991
Michael Keleshian and his family live in El Dorado Hills, CA while his mother, Kathy Keleshian and family live in Folsom, CA. Sara (Keleshian '90) Ford and family also live in El Dorado Hills.
Monique (Lund) Belcher and her husband married on August 20, 2007. They live in Las Vegas. Monique is still working in the Tradeshow and Event industry.
Lisa (Derby) Ernsberger and her husband have been serving as missionaries in Uganda.
Becky (Watson) Grover graduated from Pepperdine in 1995 and from University of Portland School of Nursing in 1998. She and her husband, Caleb, live in Oviedo, Florida.

1992
Shannon (Sparling) Abdul-Wahab and husband live in Sherman Oaks CA. Their new daughter, Drew Elizabeth, is the center of attention for the family. Shannon is also a qualified high school counselor and looking forward to returning to her chosen profession.
Jenny (Petersen) Freeman attended Bethany College and has taught preschool for 11 years. Jenny says, "Valley Christian has made a great difference in my life and has blessed me much. The teachers were all so caring, enthusiastic and hardworking. They are my inspiration for my current profession. I will always treasure the memories and friends I made at Valley. God bless always."
Patricia (Namek) Hockett is a Medical Doctor, specializing in Pediatrics. She and her husband, Rich '88, live and work in San Jose.

1993
Charity Wallace is serving in Washington DC as Deputy Chief of Protocol overseeing the visits of chiefs of state, heads of government and other international dignitaries who are in the United States to meet with the President, Vice President and Secretary of State.
Andrea Shaparenko lives in Santa Barbara, CA and is the Finance Officer for Point Broadcasting LLC.
Sara (Bauman) McOwen is the president of the Board of Directors of Wing Haven, a Christian place of safety and restoration for women and their children who are victims of domestic abuse. The total Bauman family is involved in this very important ministry.

1994
Jeff Watson graduated from Pepperdine in 1997 and from Yale in 2003 with an MBA. He and his wife, Amy, live in San Jose.
Amy (Coutts) Medina and her husband, Gil, are serving as missionaries in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa.

1995
Anna (Bauman) and Rich Reed had a lovely summer wedding off Skyline Boulevard.
Renee (Saltray) Sanborn and her husband have moved to Roseville, CA.
Suzanne Sullivan has completed her tour of duty in Iraq and is now working in San Francisco.
Catharine (Curtis) Sales and her husband Rick have moved to Santee, CA where he is the Youth Pastor at Mission valley church of the Nazarene in San Diego. Catharine works at Point Loma's Admission Office. They have 2 daughters.

1995
Shawn Hansson is the Founder and CEO of Logic Integration in Englewood, CO. He recently won the "Contractor of the Year" out of all the companies in the nation.

1997
Rebecca Lee Sherman is currently serving in the US Army and is stationed in Washington DC working at the Pentagon. She is working on getting her commission to become an Army officer and an Army Nurse.
Nate Kelly and Jamie (Mills '97) Kelly graduated from PLNU in 2001. Nate received his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine in 2005 while Jamie received her Bachelor of Nursing from PLNU in 2001. Nate is finishing his residency in anesthesiology at Stanford University Medical Center while Jamie works as a pediatric urgent care nurse and mom to Avalon (2 1/2years) and Bennett (1 year) with a new little one due in May 2008. They live in Cupertino.
Charice (Buchholz) Fischer and her husband live in Incline Village, NV.
Becky (Poure) Pogue and her husband live in RSM, CA with their 2 children. Becky is a Creative Memories Consultant.

1998
Katie (Chapin) married Josh Rogers on 9/9/2006. They live in San Jose, CA.
Nick Bingham is a Technical Recruiter for Jivaro Professional Headhunters in Coeur d'Alene, ID. He makes his home in Post Falls, Idaho.

1999
Kristen St. Clair has moved from Milwaukee to Riverside, CA.
Amy Wood lives in San Carlos and has worked at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for the last 5 years and plans to be married in May.

2000
Brett Adams and Tamara (Rikkonen '00) Adams married on June 13, 2002.

2001
Janelle Heskett and Aaron Middlebusher ('01) married on July 27, 2007. They live in San Jose.
Michelle Akavuti is a missionary to Slovakia. She is home on leave but hopes to return to the field in April.
April (Barnes) Lemau and her husband Nick live in Milpitas, CA. They have a 3-year-old daughter and are expecting another in March.
David Sullivan married Amber Stefani on October 26. 2007. Congratulations.

2002
Andrew Gaul graduated from SJSU in electrical engineering. He now works for Lockheed Martin and is working on his Masters in Electrical Engineering.

2004
Melissa Crespo now lives in Salt Lake City, UT. But hopes to be home for the holidays.

2005
Jonathan O'Mahen has now transferred to Marquette University and will be attending Broadcast Journalism School.
Daniel Gaul is attending Azusa Pacific pursuing a double major in History and Biblical Studies.
Michael Muller and Jacqueline Roeszler have married and live in Sacramento, CA.
DeAnna De La Cruz is currently attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Rebekah Schneider is attending Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.

2006
Dante Perez and Cameron Bradford '05 both attend Foothill College and are members of their football team.
Leah Gaul is attending UC Santa Barbara while Lauren Chaplin is at UCLA.

DEATHS:
Erik Satterstom (2006) was in an auto accident and died July 23, 2007. He attended California Polytechnic University in San Louis Obispo, CA.
