Spanish is taught in kindergarten through 5th grade to all students weekly. Instruction in colors, shapes and numbers starts at kindergarten.

By 5th grade students are forming small sentences and increasing their vocabulary that includes words of places in the community, months of the year and days of the week. There is also an exposure to Hispanic culture with various projects and a celebration of Cinco de Mayo.  Jr. Conservatory students receive instruction in Latin.
