PTPF Goals

PTPF is chartered to:

  • Provide assistance and encouragement to the faculty and administration as they unite with parents in our mutual purpose of educating the complete student - spiritually, academically, physically and socially.
  • To establish rapport between the parents, teachers and students.
  • To be available to assist the school wherever a need exists and to provide an avenue for practical assistance to the school through the giving of our time, talents and financial assistance.
  • It is the desire of the PTPF Executive Committee to provide opportunities for parents to become actively involved in the projects and activities of the school year.

Elementary Objectives

1. To promote the spiritual and educational welfare of the students in the home, school, church and community.

2. To provide mutual support, communication, prayer and fellowship between the home and school so that teachers and parents may cooperate intelligently in the Christian training of their children.

Policies

1. This association shall not seek to direct the administrative activities of the school, or to control its policies.

2. This association shall be noncommercial, interdenominational and nonpartisan, No commercial enterprise and no candidate shall be endorsed by it. Neither the name of the organization nor the names of its officers in their official capacities shall be used in any connection with a commercial concern, or with any partisan interest, or for any purpose other than the regular work of the organization.

3. It is the responsibility of the PTPF executive board to communicate regularly with members about programs and activities of the fellowship. Communications such as letters, newsletters and promotional pieces must have the approval of the principal.

4. All monies raised during the school year shall be expended for projects in the year raised. All unencumbered monies greater than $1,000.00* shall revert to the general fund of Valley Christian Schools on July 1st of the new fiscal year. *(adopted 9/96)

Membership

Each elementary, junior high or high school operated by Valley Christian Schools shall have a Parent Teacher Prayer Fellowship organization. All parents having children in the school, and all teachers on the staff of the school shall be considered members of the fellowship.

Resource forms are available for you to indicate your interests, abilities and availability. There is also a PTPF suggestion envelope on the main bulletin board in the office for you to give input.
