Advisors meet with students throughout their high school career to ensure that academic progress is commensurate with their college and academic goals.
College planning begins in earnest during the freshman year when students, parents and counselors meet to create a four-year plan that connects course selections with post-graduation educational and occupational goals. During the senior year, advisors work closely with students, assisting them in applying to colleges and universities appropriate for their career interests and academic performance.
Other benefits of the College Placement Assistance program include SAT preparation courses offered each fall and spring, readying students for success on the examination. In addition, the annual Christian College Fair and other college fairs allow students and parents to meet with representatives from prestigious colleges and universities. Weekly lunchtime seminars give insight for researching undergraduate institutions, writing applications and succeeding in college. Academic advisors also assist seniors who seek scholarships, which are available from a variety of groups to students who meet their specific criteria. Announcements and advertisements in the daily bulletin remind students of scholarship or grant opportunities and application guidelines.
All students and their parents are invited to the2011 National Christian College Fair and Financial Aid Workshop.
