Holly Lasky joined the Valley Christian Conservatory in 2011 as a piano teacher and accompanist. A composer, conductor, percussionist and accomplished pianist, Mrs. Lasky has proven success in performing, teaching, composition, public speaking and conducting choral and instrumental ensembles throughout the Bay Area. She is also a worship leader and has worked and performed at many churches and conferences. With nearly 30 years experience in performance, management, education, theatre and all styles of music, she has a many-faceted career as a musician, entrepreneur, public speaker and author. One of her favorite topics to speak and write about is stage fright.
Mrs. Lasky studied piano with Myrtle Gunning, John Kraus, Dr. Richard Kessler, Nancy O-Doan, Dr. Wolfgang Fetsch, Dr. Rex Cooper and Dr. Renee Chevalier. She studied composition with Stan Beckler, Ron Caviani, Dan Wyman, Allan Strange, Charlie Peacock and Rabbi Dr. Stuart Dauermann. She also studied choral and instrumental conducting with Dr. Paul Schultz, Dr. William Dehning, Dr. Robert Halseth, Dr. Charlene Archibeque and Sally Herman.
Mrs. Lasky was one of the recipients of the "Women Achiever of the Year" award given by the National League of American Pen Women. This annual award recognizes women in the arts who are making a positive impact on their community. Mrs. Lasky's personal mission is to make a positive and tangible difference in the lives of as many people as possible. She is also a Valley Christian alumnus.
