Jacklyn Luu (So.), a member of The U.S.A. National Team competed at the 2014 UANA Pan American Synchronized Championships from August 11 to August 16, 2014 at Riverside Aquatics Complex in California, earned the “Grand Slam” title for 4 gold medals in 13-15 age group division - Figures, Solo, Duet, and Team competition. Jacklyn represents the United States of America for 4 events, a sophomore at Valley Christian High School, 3 times U.S.A. Synchro 13-15 national team member, team member of Santa Clara Aquamaids. This championship included more than 200 athletes of North and Central America continent; thirteen countries and a U.S. territory were represented: Aruba, Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and the United States of America.

The Physical Science students are starting the year off by measuring in metric units. They are getting familiar with length and mass in the metric system by doing a Scavenger Hunt. They scan QR codes to find their next clue, then search for the object of a specific measurement!

Applications are now open for Robotics teams on all campuses. Team tryouts for the elementary and junior high teams will be held on August 18th through 22nd.

Christian artist Moriah Peters and her band performed a rousing and inspirational concert and testimony at the 2014-15 Conservatory Kick-off on Monday, August 11. She continued on to Nashville after her performance.
