VCHS is proud to recognize the following 2013-14 Athletes of the Year...

Taming of the Shrew - Anything Goes - Shrek! First auditions will be held on Thursday, May 22 in the theatre from 3 to 6pm. Contact the Theatre office for more information on auditions.

Baseball and Softball both won their Quarter-final round games and will play Tuesday and Wednesday in the CCS Semi-finlas. Track & Field will have CCS Finals on Friday at San Jose City College. Click here for more information.

Congratulations to the engineering students, their teacher George Sousa, and all the mentors including the administration and VCS Board who supported VCS' first successful rocket launch. The launch went up about 2 miles. The rocket was truly built and launched by our students.

One of Valley Christian's very own students, Camilla Marais, is a National Winner in the Quill and Scroll/ASNE 2014 International Writing Contest.

Singer in the Junior High Worship Band wins the Northern California Fine Arts Festival of the Assemblies of God Northern California District in Sacramento. Christiana will travel to Columbus, Ohio, in July to compete on the national stage.

On May 19, Valley Christian's "Into the Woods" won Outstanding Production, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Actor at the California High School Musical Theatre Awards. Congratulations to the cast and crew!

The JH Track and Field team competed in the Division Finals on May 8th at Willow Glen High School

Over Spring Break, ten VCHS students, freshman through juniors, were taken on a college road trip to Washington DC, Virginia and North Carolina.

Any student who wants to tryout for a sport next school year (2014-2015) must have a physical on file in the Athletic office. We will be hosting on-campus physicals Tuesday May 28th.

Today we celebrated and acknowledged ten student-athletes who will continue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level.

On Saturday, April 12, during the 2014 ASCI Math Olympics, our Valley Christian Junior High students stood out! The top mathematicians from among Bay Area Christian schools met for an intensive face to face match-up. We sent eight students with the support of Mrs. Amy Hawkins. Sixth grader Kyle Lee took First Place in Reasoning and Fiona Tang earned Third Place in Computation. Bobby Daigle scored First in seventh grade Reasoning. Erik Mitchell earned Second Place and Daniel Chun Fourth Place in Computation. Sasha Jaffarove led us in eighth grade Computation. Grace Lee powered up to Fourth Place and Priscilla Lee towered at Second Place in the Reasoning - eighth grade category. Kudos to our math department which is preparing the top mathematicians of the Bay Area!

After incubating the idea for a while, Valley finally hatched a plan to raise a passel of real-life peeps!

This year's festival was bittersweet for the seniors, who took a quick, one-night trip to participate in the Reno Jazz Festival for the last time, then race back home to go to Senior Prom.

With the expert mentoring of Valley Christian High School's Mu Alpha Theta mentors, Mrs. Smith, Dr. Shim and Mrs. Lin, the math club has grown in number exponentially over the past few years. A large number of students from a variety of math levels challenge themselves to grow and explore the real challenge of logic, critical thinking and mathematical application.
