The girls varsity soccer team won its 9th straight game to open the season by defeating St. Francis 2-0. This is goalkeeper Alexis Smith's 9th straight shutout.

Senior's Maddie Dilfer and Kirsten Mead were named the co-players of the year in girls volleyball by the San Jose Mercury News. Also recieving recognition was Ronika Stone (2nd Team), Jess Hess and Ella Lajos (Honorable Mention).

The girls basketball team, led by Cassie Orth (12pts) and Jessica Mitz (13pts) defeated the reigning CCS Division I Champions of Gunn last night in the Pinewood Tournament.

8th Grade Girls Basketball team finished with an overall record of 17-2 and took home the Willow Glen Tournament Championship and 2nd place in the Santa Clara East Side League Championship.

Valley Christian girls volleyball defeated Bishop O'Dowd 21-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-18 Saturday night to advance to NorCal championship game Tuesday against Sacred Heart Cathedral at Valley Christian 7PM.

The varsity girls volleyball team defeated WCAL leaguemate Sacred Heart Cathedral 25-13, 25-22, 22-25, 25-15 to win CCS Division III Championship.

The girls volleyball team defeated Aptos 3-1 in the CCS semi-finals to advance to the finals and will face Sacred Heart Cathedral.

The Warrior of the Week goes to Coach Jerry Hitchman. Coach Hitch and the freshman football team just finished an undefeated season and a 1st place finish in the WCAL.

James Yoder ('10) is highlighted this week in our weekly alumni watch. James just completed his football career at Menlo College and was named Team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.
