2017-2018 Admissions Timeline
September: Online applications become available. Presentations are made at many local junior high campuses by VCHS admissions staff, or you can invite us to speak to your parent group.
September - December: Our Student Shadowing Program is a great way to experience life at VCHS. We typically provide two days each week where prospective students can visit for a morning, be hosted by their specially selected Student Ambassador, attend classes, and check out our mid-week Chapel service. Click on the "Shadowing" link for more information on shadowing. Families may also schedule a personal tour of the beautiful VCHS Skyway Campus. For personal tours, contact Alana James, Admissions Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org, 408-513-2512.
October: Our Fall Open House on Saturday, October 22 offers a spectacular way to tour the campus, meet student leaders, and interact with key teachers and administrators. Click on the "Visit Campus" link for more information on our Open House.
December: Our first Admissions & Placement Testing is on Saturday, December 3. Interviews begin December 7 for applicants that have completed the full application and testing; our admissions office will contact the parent as we determine the application shows the student is ready for an interview appointment. Financial Assistance applications become available mid-December and families may apply for assistance as they await their admissions decision.
January - February: Families should ensure that the application checklist is complete in order to meet our Priority Consideration deadline for incoming 9th grade students, January 30. There are two more Admissions & Placement Testing opportunities: January 14 and 28. Personal interviews and tours continue. Financial Assistance applications open in December and are due in early February. Personal tours continue.
March: 9th grade applicants meeting the January 30 Priority Consideration deadline, testing, and interview requirements will have their admission decision mailed approximately March 10. Newly accepted and enrolled students attend presentations from our academic counselors to select classes for the fall. Personal tours continue.
April: Priority Consideration deadline for 10-12th grade transfer students for all application materials is April 3. Transfer 10-12th grade students receive their interviews and admissions decisions by late April.
April - August: Families may inquire about any remaining admissions spaces at the various grade levels and apply accordingly. Personal tours continue.
