"Last year, we were searching for a good school to put our child in and we really looked into Valley Christian Schools. We had heard great comments about its educational facility, academics and many other points that made me feel that I wanted to put my child in this school. My daughter now looks forward to learning something new in all of her subjects each day, and she has gained a lot of knowledge that she might not have learned in another school. We also chose Valley because of the Christian foundation. My daughter has become more responsible, independent, organized, and Godly. She has a tender heart, and she is really affected by what she learns about Christ through the testimonies from speakers in chapel."
"My son has a musical gift and he wanted to share his talent while simultaneously learning from the gifted teachers at VCS. He had never tried drama but was encouraged by Mrs. K. to try out for a play. He has developed as a young man to become more sure of his talents and abilities, and to try out new things more readily. He has also learned how his own actions impact others around him."
"When searching for a school, we looked for one that would grow our child spiritually and academically, as well as provide opportunities in the arts and athletics. I'm happy to say that Naomi has grown in all of those areas in her junior high years. Academically, she has been challenged in her honors classes and in Math Club. Spiritually, she has grown in her faith and is now bolder in sharing her faith with others. Her musical abilities have also grown so much, starting in Advanced Band in 6th grade, and advancing to 1st chair flute in Quest Band in 8th grade. She now plans to join the Wind Ensemble in high school. In athletics, she has improved her soccer and running skills by participating on sports teams. She had no experience in track prior to Valley. While at Valley, she was able to place in several events, advancing to the finals, and was very excited to help the girls soccer team win the championship! Finally, she made more friends, and improved her confidence and social skills."
"We loved the religion focus and the strong academics. The staff, teachers and overall VCS team are very kind, helpful and amazing. I truly feel that Valley Christian offers kids a broad, well-rounded environment and education. My daughter has become a very independent young lady in her studies now. She is self-motivated and always strives for good grades. She is also becoming interested in sports. She is trying out for soccer and plans to join the track team next year. She also has a growing heart for God, which is very important for me."
"Each day, my daughter looks forward to sharing the school day with the wonderful group of friends she met at VCJH over the last 2 years. She also looks forward to her participation in leadership activities and sporting events, the opportunity to compete, the chance to develop new skills, and the team camaraderie that the athletics program fosters."
"Since coming to VCS in the sixth grade, my son has matured quite a lot. His fifth grade school had a one-room, one-teacher approach, so the change to having many classes in different rooms with different teachers was a big adjustment for him. He is more responsible and self-reliant now. He is very honest and we are proud of him for his respect and consideration of others, and we believe VCS has helped promote spiritual growth for him."
"Academically, my daughter has learned that she has to put in the time and effort to get the grades she expects. She's learned to go outside her circle of friends. She's learning to be a leader instead of just following others. She also loves going to chapel and she raves about the speakers who are brought in. She's embraced it and she continues to grow."
"My son used to hate math—hated it! Every night we'd fight over the homework. Then, when he got into Robotics, he actually understood how you could apply math. Then he asked to go to summer math camp, just to get deeper into it. And he's happy now."
"The teachers here are like an 'energizer bunny.' They are full of energy. When you hear them at Back-to-School night, their faces literally light up when they talk about their subject area—they are so passionate about it. Valley Christian is three things to me: it's Christ-driven, it's got a commitment to our students, and it has a great sense of community."
"Thank you so much for the nurturing instruction and positive attitude you bring to your work as Valley Christian staff and teachers… it’s not always a piece of cake administrating and teaching our hormonal middle schoolers… the Christian education you provide is a key component of the moral and ethical foundation our kids will have as adults."
"Every day you spend with our kids provides them with a wonderful education, academically and spiritually… thank you for being good role models. What a blessing it has been for our kids to attend Valley Christian."
