Main Purpose of the Position:
The Library Technician is responsible for the efficient daily operation of the library to meet the information needs of students, faculty, and other Skyway users. This position oversees students to ensure a safe environment, conducive to study, learning, and discovery. Library Technicians maintain the library catalog to locate, circulate, track, and retrieve materials, and assist with the acquisition, cataloging, processing, and promotion of new materials. This technician will provide technical support and assistance to the Conservatory of the Arts Private Lesson Program. This individual is skilled in using the library’s resources in order to effectively respond to user research questions, and is comfortable using a variety of computing devices, software programs, apps, audio/visual, and other equipment utilized in the Learning Commons by patrons and staff.
