Information

The cost of tuition should never discourage a student from applying to VCS. We are committed to providing quality education to students from all economic backgrounds.

Our Financial Assistance Program supports families unable to afford the full cost of attendance. Subject to available funds, we aim to ensure that all qualified students have the opportunity to join the VCS community, regardless of financial circumstances.

The financial assistance process is entirely separate from admissions and enrollment. Students are admitted to VCS based on their qualifications, while financial assistance is granted solely based on financial need. For new students, we recommend completing the financial assistance application and admissions applications simultaneously.

A student must be in good academic and citizenship standing to be considered for financial assistance.

Application Process

Financial assistance applications must be submitted annually by the specified deadline to be considered for the following school year.

Applicants must complete the process through VCS’s third-party evaluation partner, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, by submitting an application and all required documentation. Ensure the application is accurate and complete, as incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Required Documents to be uploaded to FACTS:
• 2025 Federal Tax Returns (all pages)
• 2026 Year-end paystub and W-2 for both spouses if married
• Forms 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC if applicable
• If self-employed, provide profit & loss statement
• If applicable, supporting documents, such as child support, Social Security Income, State Disability Insurance, Worker’s Compensation, and other income sources

 Describe any specific circumstances that would not normally be noted in your family’s income tax information.

 An explanation is required if your reported expenses exceed gross income.

 Priority for financial assistance is given first to grades 9-12, followed by grades 6-8, and then elementary students.

Failure to complete the above checklist by the above deadline will result in your application being placed on a “further information required” list. You will be informed of any missing items, which may negatively affect the likelihood of receiving financial assistance.

Students receiving financial assistance are expected to maintain exemplary behavior and good academic standing each semester. Grants are subject to review based on academic performance or behavior at the end of each semester.
