Kiana Lei Yap still talks about her middle school and high school years with the kind of gratitude that shows up in a smile before the words even land. A proud Valley Christian alumna, she is now a second-year law student at Santa Clara University, bringing with her a background in tech, a heart for community, and roots anchored in music and faith.

VCHS freshman Aiden Shankar (’29) earned first place at the Youth Business Venture Challenge. Selected from more than 1,000 submissions representing 21 states and 8 countries, Aiden received a $5,000 venture capital investment to advance his startup, Schoolace (schoolace.org).

For Esther Wu, everything shifted when her oldest daughter began to dread going to school. What should have been a place of friendship and curiosity had become a source of stress. “She always felt left out and was bullied at times,” Esther remembers. The joy was gone, and Esther knew something had to change.

At VCS, spiritual formation in junior high is serious, but it is not solemn. Students are invited into a faith that is both meaningful and engaging.
