Valley Christian Schools' International Space Station (ISS) Program received a United States patent this month, recognizing its innovative and configurable platform for conducting experiments in space. This broad patent extends to all experiments piloted on earth and run in space, leaving no room for competitor platforms. Included on the patent are two VCS alum, Mihir Kaslmalkar ('20) and Micah Kim ('20), who demonstrated the ISS platform during the keynote of a Microsoft event. The patent goes into effect on December 1, 2020, nearly two and a half years after the patent application submission.
