Dear Skyway Families,
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Valley Christian Schools has been committed to in-person learning for our students. However, the current COVID strain is highly infectious. This strain has affected our Skyway campus faculty and staff in such a manner that it makes remote learning in the near/short term our best option for our students.
The Junior High and High School will pivot to remote learning for one week starting this Monday, January 10 through Friday, January 14, and resume in-person after Martin Luther King Day on Tuesday, January 18. Look for an upcoming email from your child's campus with instructions for next week. The Elementary School will continue in-person learning.
We encourage you to take advantage of our free testing on the Skyway Campus on Monday through Thursday from 9am-4:30pm next week. Students involved in extracurricular activities will be notified by their supervisor or coach for more information.
Lastly, we ask that our Warrior Community practices "safe" living next week to ensure that distance learning will be short term. "Safe" living means social distancing when possible, wearing masks, and seeking the advice of your family's practitioners on vaccines and boosters.
On behalf of Valley Christians Schools, we want to once again thank our wonderful Warrior Community for continuing to partner with us as we seek to provide the best educational opportunities for our students.
"Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well," (3 John 1:2).
