The California Theatre in downtown San Jose.

The California Theatre is located on 345 S 1st Street. It has two main entrances. The historic Grand Lobby and primary Box Office are on S 1^st Street. The alternative entrance is on Market Street.

Tickets are available for purchase beginning November 1 on boxoffice.vcs.net. There are four concerts with different performing groups each night. Be sure to secure tickets early for the correct concert. We cannot accommodate requests for ticket exchanges or refunds.

We strongly encourage our patrons to buy their tickets in advance, online at boxoffice.vcs.net. Tickets are not required for children under the age of two if they will be sitting on a parent’s lap. If they need a seat, they will need a ticket. Your printed tickets, or the digital image of your tickets on your device are required for admission to the Theatre.

The Box Office is located on the S 1st Street side of the California Theatre and will be open one hour before the concert begins.

Student performers will enter the California Theatre through the Stage Door, located on the Market Street side of the building. Parents, please walk your child to this location. Do not drop them off prior to their call time, supervision is not available until then. A sign will be placed on the sidewalk to help you identify the entrance. This entrance is for performers only. VC faculty and staff will be there to assist with check in and help the students get to their proper places prior to their performance.

At the conclusion of the concert, instructions will be given from the stage as to where you can reconnect with your young performer. Students should not leave the theatre building without a parent or guardian.

Monday night’s concert will run roughly 45 minutes. The concerts on Tuesday and Wednesday will run roughly 75 minutes. Thursday night’s concert will run roughly 2 hours with a 15-minute intermission.

To enhance the in-person experience for our patrons attending our performances, we kindly request your cooperation in refraining from taking photos or videos during the shows. Your understanding and adherence to this policy will contribute to a delightful and focused atmosphere for all attendees.

All groups (except K-3 choirs on Monday) will have an opportunity to rehearse on stage prior to their concert. A special rehearsal schedule will be provided with more details in the coming weeks on this site.
