Senior Shota Homma, Junior Elliot Wuu, and Sophomore Zachary Shah are tops in local and international competitions and awards

For third consecutive year, pianist Elliot Wuu won First Place, followed by trombonist Joseph Yang, pianist Kevin Kaiwen Li, and bassoonist Cerianne Huang.
Best Overall Production, two nominees for Best Lead Actor, one each for Best Lead Actress and Best Supporting Actress.

Come see the fruits of 4 years of Visual Arts Study in the Conservatory.
She was selected from over 850 student applicants and won 2nd place in ceramics.
Finals Competition is Saturday, May 7, 7pm in the Conservatory Hall. Free admission. Come support these fine, young musicians!
Finalists will be announced on Tuesday, May 3, with finals competition held on Saturday, May 7 at 7pm.
Auditions must be made before signing up for following classes/groups: HS Wind Ensemble, HS Women's Vocal Ensemble, HS String Ensemble (new students), HS Chamber String Ensemble, HS Jazz Lab Rhythm Section, Piano Accompanists, JH Quest Band/Studio Band, JH Vocal Ensemble.
The HS Jazz Ensemble wins in the HS Large Jazz Ensemble category; the JH Jazz Trio won the Jr. High Small Jazz Group category.
Music Major Miles Huang also receives full scholarship to the prestigious summer program in Northwestern Michigan.
The annual festival held at San Jose State draws schools from around the Bay Area to perform and receive judges marks from the California Music Educators Association.
The top three big bands chosen out of 13 will be invited to perform at the Monterey Jazz Festival in September. Go Warriors!!

Freshman Emily James wins First Place Soloist in the Middle Division; the team scores 2nd Place in Small Hip-Hop & Character Dance, and 3rd Place in Officers' & Small Jazz Dance.
Leading up to championships in Orlando, Florida, the Vivid Dance Team placed quite well at three competitions in the Bay Area.
The Junior High & High School Winter Guard teams have done well on the 2016 California Color Guard Circuit.
