Valley Christian girls volleyball defeated Bishop O'Dowd 21-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-18 Saturday night to advance to NorCal championship game Tuesday against Sacred Heart Cathedral at Valley Christian 7PM.

Conservatory student was one of 12 young pianists (and one of four Americans) chosen worldwide (ages 9-14) to participate in the Inaugural Lang Lang Junior Music Camp in Munich, Germany, where he performed and worked with Lang Lang in concert and masterclass. Lang Lang is a young, world-renowned classical pianist, and is known as an "evangelist" of classical music. Video &

Valley Christian High School Speech and Debate had a great showing and their biggest turnout to date at the 2013 Santa Clara University Dempsey Cronin Invitational. Valley Christian was represented by 14 students at the three day tournament that boasted 56 schools competing with 1525 entrants from all over the state! Junior Hugh Zhang was awarded 2nd place in speaker points for his division of 142 debaters. Junior Eddy Nassif and Sophomore Vivek Menon debated their way into the semi-final round and received 3rd place out of the 71 teams in the novice parliamentary debate.

This is the fourth tournament that VCHS has attended this year, and at each one the debate team has earned recognition for excellent performance. Junior Josey Hu and Sophomore Jeremy Dong went undefeated at a league debate tournament held on Leland’s campus in October. The varsity girls volleyball team defeated WCAL leaguemate Sacred Heart Cathedral 25-13, 25-22, 22-25, 25-15 to win CCS Division III Championship.

“For the past five weeks, the eighth grade students of Miss White’s class have been learning about the American Revolutionary war.

The girls volleyball team defeated Aptos 3-1 in the CCS semi-finals to advance to the finals and will face Sacred Heart Cathedral.

In the SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) Challenge 2013-14 Student Art Competition.

Karissa has been competing in gymnastics for almost 8 years and absolutely loves it! She currently trains about 14 hours a week at Airborne in Santa Clara. This past weekend, Karissa traveled to San Mateo to compete in the State Championship Meet for Gymnastics. Karissa medaled in all 4 rotations: vault, uneven bars, beam and floor. She received one of the highest scores on her vault of 9.575! Karissa finished up the day in 2nd place for the All Around Competition in her age group. Valley Christian Junior High is very proud of Karissa as she follows the passion that God has instilled in her heart!

The Warrior of the Week goes to Coach Jerry Hitchman. Coach Hitch and the freshman football team just finished an undefeated season and a 1st place finish in the WCAL.

James Yoder ('10) is highlighted this week in our weekly alumni watch. James just completed his football career at Menlo College and was named Team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.

The WarriorBots Junior High Robotics Team Moving on to Northern California Championship 2013 marks the 10th year anniversary of the Valley Christian Robotics Program.

On November 21, the VCHS Symphony Orchestra not only performed, but were honored to hear the performance and testimony of world class cellist Doug McClure. See video clip of McClure performing "To Him Who Sits on the Throne," which he performed in 2000 for a gathering of Muslim world leaders.

On Friday, November 15, the VCHS Band & Guard competed on the national stage for their first time at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Physical science students put to the test Matthew 5:13-17! Classes discussed what scripture says about salt and light. Then using our recent knowledge about compounds they examined how those salts look in the light.....literally! Students burned different salts and determined their characteristic color to determine what compound they were.

Jazz Dancers take an advanced class from renowned dance & musical theatre star Pauline Locsin-Kanter, as well as tour the campus and Mission.

Maddie Dilfer, Theron Kay, and Kirsten Mead signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday.
