Eighth Grade - Day 6 - WWII Memorial Where Students Visited and Thanked our Veterans
Posted 05/03/2018 08:44PM

Today students had the unique opportunity to visit with veterans of World War II at the WWII Memorial. The students were so impressed with these gentlemen that they formed a line to shake the hands of each of these soldiers who fought for our country. It was certainly a moment they will never forget.

They then headed to the White House to view the home of our President then went on to tour the National Cathedral. Just after lunch, they visited Ford’s Theater (where President Lincoln was shot), stepped foot on Canadian soil by visiting the Canadian Embassy, visited the National Archives (where they could view the Constitution as well as many other of our country’s important documents) and ended the day with a visit to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.
