Four HS and Two JH Students Were Accepted and Invited to Participate in the 2015 California All State Music Education Conference at the Fresno Convention Center, February 19-22.
Nine JH students were named to the Bay Area Honor Choir and participated in the event at Chabot College on Jan. 9. Three JH students named to the National Honor Choir will travel to Salt Lake City in February to perform at the ACDA National Convention and with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
VCJH is so excited to share the great news of Victor Liu (Eighth Grader). Victor participated in the 2014 US Table Tennis National Championships December 16-20, 2014. He won the Gold of Boys Cadet, Bronze of Junior Boys and Bronze of Mens under 21. In the national teams trial, Victor is selected as member of both Cadet (Under15) and Junior(Under18) national team of USA Table Tennis 2015. Victor will represent USA to compete in the international cadet and junior events in 2015.

On October 24, Elliot performed in New York at the United Nations 69th Anniversary Concert with Internationally-renowned concert pianist Lang Lang & Friends. He was also interviewed on SiriusXM radio, and performed at other venues in New York.

Meena Rakasi, a (VCJHS) student from San Jose, was honored today as one of the brightest middle school students in the world at a national awards ceremony sponsored by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY).
In the Western Band Association California State Championships held at Fresno State on Nov. 22-23, the VCHS Open Air Ensemble competed against bands from both Northern and Southern California.
The Warriors defeated Palma 14-7 on the road in the 1st game of the Open Division CCS Championships.
The Warriors won their 3rd Division 3 crown in as many years by defeating Sacred Heart Cathedral 3-1 on Saturday.

In the Western Bands Association (WBA) competition at Independence HS, VCHS took the first place trophy in Class AAA, and earned awards for Best Visual Effect, Best Music, and Best Percussion. The next competition is this Saturday, Nov. 15 at James Logan HS,Union City. Don't miss the on-campus Preview of Champions on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 8pm in the Skyway stadium.
