VCHS Students Earn 1st and 3rd at Science Poster Competition!

Andy Nadir (left photo, 2nd from left) took first place; Michelle Liang and Zachary Shah took third place.

This past October, ISS Program students, along with ISS mentors, parents and staff attended the ASGSR (American Society for Gravitational and Space Research) Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.  This conference brings together leading researchers and engineers from around the world, including NASA and ISS space agency representatives involved in space bioscience and physical science research on ISS and other space flight vehicles.  VCS high school students had the opportunity to present their ISS experiment in poster form and verbally describe its information while interacting with professional scientists and engineers.

A total of 19 students enjoyed the great benefit of this conference which has long recognized the importance of school-led space science projects to provide real world lessons in the application of classroom science and math studies.
