The Summit Series is VCS Conservatory’s flagship Artists-in-Residence program, bringing world-class performers to San Jose for full residency days of masterclasses, workshops, and evening concerts throughout the 2026–2027 season.

Yes — all public masterclasses are free and open to everyone. No ticket required, but an RSVP is required as seating is limited.

Tickets are available through VCS Conservatory’s ticketing system at boxoffice.vcs.net. Advance pricing: $20 student / $50 general admission. At the door: $30 student / $60 general.

No — both his Public Masterclass and Public Workshop on October 22 are free. RSVP is required for both.

Yes, we encourage families to attend, though please note that guests under 5 years old are not permitted at events. This policy ensures the best experience for both the artists and the audience. We appreciate your understanding and we look forward to seeing you!

We’re excited to announce that our masterclasses are open to all students, not just VCS students! Any student interested in performing for the artists is welcome to apply.
Applications are submitted through SlideRoom and must include:

• Video recordings of at least two pieces you’d like to perform (max 10 minutes each)
• A teacher recommendation letter

The Artist-in-Residence will choose one piece for you to perform during the masterclass.
