If your child plans to buy lunch at school, all on-campus food purchases are digital! Students will be assigned a Valley Christian Lunch ID number to use when purchasing from VCS Food Services. These personal lunch ID numbers will be on their schedule, which they will be receiving at the VCS Orientation events. Click Here (must login to the parent portal to access) for instructions on how to set up a new lunch account after the event when you have your child's Lunch ID!

***Returning student lunch accounts from last school year will have the same lunch ID numbers.

The 5-Digit Lunch ID will be embedded in the student body ID card and may alternatively be keyed in as a PIN number. 

Students will receive their ID cards when they take their school pictures. Dates are listed on the A/B school calendar and pictures will be taken during your student's scheduled Bible Class. If funds are added, your child's lunch account will be ready to go on the first day of school!

Please note that cash is not accepted at VCS Food Services.

Note: Funds need to be added to the lunch account before 9pm on the day prior to be accessible (i.e., add funds by 9:00pm on Monday night for use on Tuesday the first day of school).

School photos will be taken during the school day on August 17 and 18 (Thursday/Friday). This photo will be used on their school identification card that will be used to enter VCS events. It will also be the photo used in the yearbook for freshman-juniors.

VCHS clubs are student-led and have a lower time commitment than our programs. This network is a great way to make friends and have fun with peers that have like-minded interests.

VCHS allows a fews weeks for clubs to get organized and once approved a club fair will be scheduled and students will have the opportunity to sign up at the club fair event that occurs mid-September.  

The site vclubs.org is another great resource after the club fair event is completed to see which clubs are running, where/when they meet, and who is part of the club.  

Any student can submit an application for a new or existing club.  The applications will be available the first week of school.  Students need to provide an adult advisor (any VCS staff member) that agrees to fulfill this responsibility.  In order for a club to continue after the Christmas holiday they need to ensure an average attendance of 10 or more on a regular basis.  If attendance requirements are not met the club is in jeopardy of being collapsed. 

Students are expected to bring their iPad, lined paper, graph paper, pens, and pencils for classes. VCHS does not provide a class supply list, since the variety of course offerings is so large. Teachers will let students know what they need in their syllabi and give ample time to purchase any specific items. 

In general, freshmen do not have summer assignments to complete. Advanced classes do have summer assignments, so freshmen in an advanced language or math class and transfer students may have assignments to complete during the summer to prepare for the school year. The Back to School Bash on Monday, August 14 as well as our first four days of school are great ways to connect with friends.  We have been very purposeful in our planning to allow students the opportunity to connect with their peers outside a classroom setting.
