All VCHS students are required to bring a personally owned iPad to school.
The one-iPad-per-student (1:1) model expands student access to engaging tools and resources, thereby allowing students to learn more effectively and to live more productively in an increasingly global and digital world.
Why a 1:1 Program?
Valley Christian High School’s 1:1 iPad program is essential to our Quest for Excellence in innovative, quality education. Through our pursuit of A3—Academic Achievement, Artistic Beauty, and Athletic Distinction—Valley Christian is committed to an environment where all students have the opportunity to grow in their God-given abilities.
Students use iPads extensively to access information and complete work. Therefore, students are required to bring their personal iPads to school every day.

iPad Alternative
We recognize that some students may already own a device other than an iPad that they feel better suits their learning needs. While an iPad is the preferred device and the device supported by our IT department, students may use a Mac or Windows laptop if it meets the minimum requirements for College Board digital testing and is capable of running the most recent MacOS or Windows OS with regular updates.
Not Permitted:
- Personally-owned Chromebooks
- Devices that cannot update to the latest MacOS or Windows OS
- Any device that cannot run the College Board's Bluebook testing app
- Cell phones are not permitted as a learning device
